Good for me!

It has been raining for what seems to be forever. My roses have yellow leaves with black spots. I mean, the leaves that remain on my rose bushes have yellow leaves with black spots. Intermingled in some of the mulch is mushrooms! You know what that means? You guessed it! DISEASE. I can't stand it. Life was so good during the first precious days of spring. Now, all of this heat and humidity is taking its toll on me and my garden. Any suggestions on how to make it through this dismal rain.

I sprinkled some Epsom salt in my garden. I guess I will be on damage patrol for a while. The one bright point lately is that I have not spotted any snakes in the area. my neighbors horses had been dining on the few sprigs of grass in my flowers. I fixed them with a nice wire barrier.

I am most thrilled that the proofs of my book "Diary of A Wannabe Gardener" arrives tomorrow. I think I will just have some alone time with my book for a while. I will caress it, gaze at it lovingly, just like I do with my other flowers. I will post some more pictures soon. I know there are people visiting me! Why don't you say Hi! Don't be shy. I don't bite, I only torture (smile). If you know of any blog sites of interest, let me know. Later.
