Colleges Steal Christian Children

Are we as Christians telling or insinuating that there is a place you can go to and God can be ripped from your heart and spirit called COLLEGE. Has college become greater than GOD? Wow. Is this the language of Christian maturity?

If you have follwed my blog, you know I have shared many of my opinions on religion, Christianity, Christians and other topics that keep my mind occupied for more than a day or two.

In today's news coverage, commentators are either laughing at Rick Santorum or shaking their heads in utter disbelief at his statement regarding President Obama's conspiracy to send America's children to college to be indoctrinated against Christianity. Santorum said Obama wants Christian children to go to college to become "mini me' Obamas.

Having a background in religion with two college degrees from religious institutions, I have sat in classes and heard instructors rant how secular colleges steal their children by presenting secular education. Just as I was getting a college degree, they themselves had college degress; just as Rick Santorum has college degrees. If the colleges each individual attended was checked, there may be some secular colleges involved in their (their) academic instruction.

I have taught MY children who I raised in the belief of Christianity, that they are responsible for their belief in God. If someone can walk up to them in one day and wipe away their belief in God, then maybe they never had a true foundation or true belief in God.

I wonder why so little credit is given to Christian children. It takes a month, a year, and puff, the Christian no longer believes. Is it the fault of the millions of people on earth one may come into contact with in any given time frame in one's life to blame if one suddenly stops believing in God? This would be so simple. A genuine scapegoat that causes one to stop being a Christian.

In my Christian walk, their have been limitless occasions for me to decide I no longer believe in God. But, I would always think about why I believe in God and those core reasons always win out over any and all things that may have caused me to wonder about the whole presentation of Christianity.

Let's be real. For a long time Christianity taught that a black person was cursed by God, would always be a slave, was not on even terms with the other part of God's creation. Yes, you're right I'm black. And then I had to contend with the submission part of being the weaker sex and only the helpmeet to my husband. This is not secular society telling me these unfavorable things that should cause me to run in the opposite direction; it is the Bible, which is my instruction manual for living a holy life.

So, Rick Santorum, if a college told me these things as a black female and I decided these were just horrible statements and part of a religion I believed, would it be the college's fault if I said I wanted no part of it?

If I was told the Catholic Church remained silent during the Holocaust and during slavery preaching from the pulpit that giving slaves Sunday's off was godly; would it be the college's fault if I said I wanted no part of Christianity?

I always believed it was the lack of truth in rearing children in the church that left them vulnerable to the shock of the truth of religion. In America, we almost behave like the only Christian who ever lived sprang from America - the chosen place of God. Christianity began and had it's ups and downs long before America was the great nation it is now. We are a baby in the history of the world yet we have all of the answers and through the comments made by Rick Santorum we have all of the answers as long as no opposing questions are presented.

Give Christians more credit. Jesus sent them out into the world on the Great Commission to change the world not to live in a bubble and parrot back and forth to each other that have the same beliefs. A Christian is to learn and mature in their religion, but most leaders keep their congregation at baby bird status mouths open waiting for the worm to be placed into their mouths. Didn't Martin Luther have a problem with the Catholic Church for the droplets of knowledge allowed to their followers; drops of knowledge because they were not believed smart enough to handle God's truth on their own? And, didn't Martin Luther split the church because the knowledge dispensed was corrupt?

If as a parent you know your child is not rooted enough in their religious beliefs to go into the world, then why do you let them go out into the world? The world will not change for your child, but as a Christian, your child is suppose to change the world.

College is great. I wish every child could go to college. There is a world of knowledge dispensed that does nothing to detract from God. Remember their is math, art, music, economics, etc., etc., being taught and the main thing being taught is to learn to ask questions, analyze, manipulate data to find new information and ways of doing things better. This level of critical thinking is important and Rick Santorum might as well say what he really means: I don't want young people THINKING handling new concepts. I don't trust them enough to know what and why they believe.

God is bigger than any secular teachings. Christianity survived all sorts of pagan religions. I wonder if Rick Santorum thinks God did not know there would be all kinds of nay sayers in the world and He was big enough to even outlast them or whatever they came up with?

Rick Santorum's Gang Wars

Rick Santorum is emerging as a front runner in the GOP race for president. Women are in unison saying he is declaring war on women. People close to Santorum says his religious views have always been an openly displayed characteristic of his political life and social issues were and are a part of who he is.

But, who is Rick Santorum actually in a fight with? Mitt Romney, Secular Society, Obama, Women or is he just creating gangs to fight each other?

Santorum has become the favorite to take the fight to President Obama and religion is the key hidden under the guise of abortion, contraception, attack on the Catholic Church, some foreign theology that does not line up with the Bible, etc., etc. It all seems like a perfect strategy to take down the president who the majority of the Right has considered as "other" and not like the main stream or in touch with the main stream.

But being a person who has studied theology, I see another option on the table. Yes, there may be an attack on womanhood in an attempt to raise religious indignation and turn out the religious vote for the Republican party, but as news commentators report Santorum is losing the female vote across political lines; this is not a war of the sexes - Man vs Woman or secular society vs Christianity, it will slowly evolve into woman on woman hair pulling splitting the large demographic of female voters that at one time voted along the same lines and voted largely for Obama in 2008. How did I come up with this hypothesis?  The church has always told women in order to be a good Christian; there are certain criteria a woman must meet and bearing children was one of the ways to be a good Christian woman and make it to heaven, 1 Timothy 2:15. Women who even slightly frowned at this statement were labled feminist. I frowned, wrote a book on the topic, and guess what? I am in the category of FEMINIST.

A Christian woman must have at least one child (unless she is infertile) to be a Christian, thus the Catholic Church's stand against birth control. God commanded us to be fruitful and multiply. But, no one seems to tell you what is the exact number of children a woman must have to be a good Christian (the more the holier). My question is how can anyone put a number to or even ask such a question, but this has been a silent war going on in the church for a while and Santorum is now bringing it into to public sphere and I predict it will be a gang fight between the women of the world with the men sitting back with their arms crossed across their chest as women try to define once again what it means to be a woman which man and religion has always boiled down to child birth. Here is a question posed by an anxiety ridden Christian woman:

In an article published in Salvation Through Childbirth, A Reflective Analysis of 1 Timothy 2:15, Mr. Maxey addresses a question asked by a woman:

“Brother Maxey,

Having been raised in Churches of Christ, I am having a hard time breaking away from a works-based attitude into one more grace-based. I just can’t seem to break free of this constant fear for my salvation based on the fact that I am not following perfectly each and every verse in the New Testament. For example --- I am now an older woman. My husband and I never wanted our own children for many reasons. However, now, when I read the verse about women being saved through childbirth, my heart aches over the thought that this decision of mine may be one which keeps me out of Heaven. It was a willful choice on my part not to have children, and my heart actually hurts when I contemplate where my decision may be sending me when I die, and so I lie awake at night! …any insight or help you can offer me would be very much appreciated!

Yes, women take the issues of contraceptives, abortion, motherhood, pregnancy, and making it into heaven seriously and Santorum is telling us it is through repairing the family; marrying, having several children, homeschooling the children, staying out of the military, doing all of the things a virtuous woman is suppose to do as the correct role for women. What is the repair part for a destroyed America for men in this equation? So is this a war on womanhood or is it the gentle pokings of dividing and conquering one of the strongest voting demographics? Women, I predict, will turn on each other before it is all said and done. There are numorous groups that are proud to be part of the Proverbs 31 Woman and if you are not striving to be a Proverbs 31 Woman then you are lumped into the camp of the enemy. Below are the virtures of the Proverbs 31 Woman:

10 Virtues of the Proverbs 31 Woman

We want to encourage women to serve God in every aspect of their lives.

1.   Faith - A Virtuous Woman serves God with all of her heart, mind, and soul. She seeks His will for her life and follows His ways. (Proverbs 31: 26, Proverbs 31: 29 – 31, Matthew 22: 37, John 14: 15, Psalm 119: 15.
2.   Marriage – A Virtuous Woman respects her husband. She does him good all the days of her life. She is trustworthy and a helpmeet. (Proverbs 31: 11- 12, Proverbs 31: 23, Proverbs 31: 28, 1 Peter 3, Ephesians 5, Genesis2: 18)
3.   Mothering - A Virtuous Woman teaches her children the ways of her Father in heaven. She nurtures her children with the love of Christ, disciplines them with care and wisdom, and trains them in the way they should go. (Proverbs 31: 28, Proverbs 31: 26, Proverbs 22: 6, Deuteronomy 6, Luke 18: 16)
4.   Health – A Virtuous Woman cares for her body. She prepares healthy food for her family. (Proverbs 31: 14 – 15, Proverbs 31: 17, 1 Corinthians 6: 19, Genesis 1: 29, Daniel 1, Leviticus 11)
5.   Service - A Virtuous Woman serves her husband, her family, her friends, and her neighbors with a gentle and loving spirit. She is charitable. (Proverbs 31: 12, Proverbs 31: 15, Proverbs 31: 20, 1 Corinthians 13: 13)
6.   Finances - A Virtuous Woman seeks her husband’s approval before making purchases and spends money wisely. She is careful to purchase quality items which her family needs. (Proverbs 31: 14, Proverbs 31: 16, Proverbs 31: 18, 1 Timothy 6: 10, Ephesians 5: 23, Deuteronomy 14: 22, Numbers 18: 26)
7.   Industry – A Virtuous Woman works willingly with her hands. She sings praises to God and does not grumble while completing her tasks. (Proverbs 31: 13, Proverbs 31: 16, Proverbs 31: 24, Proverbs 31: 31, Philippians 2: 14)
8.   Homemaking – A Virtuous Woman is a homemaker. She creates an inviting atmosphere of warmth and love for her family and guests. She uses hospitality to minister to those around her. (Proverbs 31: 15, Proverbs 31: 20 – 22, Proverbs 31: 27, Titus 2: 5, 1 Peter 4: 9, Hebrews 13: 2)
9.   Time - A Virtuous Woman uses her time wisely. She works diligently to complete her daily tasks. She does not spend time dwelling on those things that do not please the Lord. (Proverbs 31: 13, Proverbs 31: 19, Proverbs 31: 27, Ecclesiastes 3, Proverbs 16: 9, Philippians 4:8 )
10.   Beauty – A Virtuous Woman is a woman of worth and beauty. She has the inner beauty that only comes from Christ. She uses her creativity and sense of style to create beauty in her life and the lives of her loved ones. (Proverbs 31: 10Proverbs 31: 21 – 22, Proverbs 31: 24 -25, Isaiah 61: 10, 1 Timothy 2: 9, 1 Peter 3: 1 – 6)

How many women are not virtuous? How many woman are going to listen to Santorum explain how they have dropped the ball and he is trying to repair/restore America through soundness of the family which seems to be held together solely by the virtuous woman.

Okay, you do not have to follow any line of my reasoning, but I think Santorum is starting to divide and separate using religion as his foundation. The people will have to decide if they are in the camp for God or in the camp against God. This was done in history before during the Civil War when the South said God was on their side and the North said God was on their side. Was the point at the end of the Civil War when someone stood up and waved a flag and said "See there, I told you, God was on our side." History books do no report that. The needlessness of brother against brother and father against son is what the history books report and about a war based more on MONEY and loss of POWER than anything else.

I am disappointed to say the least in the use of religion and the role of women as a platform in a presidential race. It is like there is a new slogan "Don't vote for evil." No one wnats to vote for evil so the point is moot. But, no one wants to vote for an out and out liar either. When there is a race for power - true character appears. There has been a lot of ugliness on display. But, women hold firm. Do not become a pawn in this descent into 'how Christian am I.' Man will always have a set of tests and then there is what the Bible instructs everyone to do. Keep check on your personal relationship with God and remain loyal and firm to Him. Don't be pulled to and fro with all of what is being said and most importantly read my book :When Will Eve Be Forgiven?

I told you what the Proverbs 31Woman is defined as but I would also like to tell you other words in the Bible used to describe women. All women have the charge of deciding what label they are willing to live with. I said I have been labeled as a FEMINIST, that is okay, but I reject any label that is given to me for just expressing a thought.

The adjectives used to describe women have not changed much since biblical times due largely to the fact human nature has not changed much either. The Book of Proverbs has more vivid adjectives describing womanhood than any other book in the Bible. The list of adjectives include: adulterous, aged, angry; bad, beautiful, brawling; careless, chaste, clamorous, comely, compassionate, complacent, contentious; deceitful, devout, diligent, discreet, dishonest, domestic, drunken; elect, evil; fainthearted, fair, faithful, foolish, foreign, fretful; glorious, godly, good, gracious, grave, great,; haughty, high-principled, holy, honest, honorable,; impudent, indiscreet; jealous,; kind, loose, loving; obedient, odious, outlandish; peevish, peaceable, pitiful, prudent; quarrelsome, reverent, righteous; sensible, serious, shamefaced, shameless, silent, silly, simple, sober, steady, strange, submissive, subtle; temperate, trustworthy; unloved; virtuous; wayward, weak, wealthy, whorish, wicked, wily, worthy; and young. The book of Proverbs was assembled for instructional purposes and could have served as a manual for the education of the sons of men with status in the Old Testament times as well as a model for moral behavior especially in dealing with relationships between men and women.

Every Experience is an opportunity for book research, even my surgery

Tomorrow I go in for gall bladder surgery. As a writer we should have a little book where we write down the characteristics of people we meet and the way they walk, talk, and other little physical quirks they have. I will be taking notes on my emotions, the feel of the hospital environment, how the nurses and doctors interact and their medical lingo.

Every little detail I can jot down and flavor with verbs and fill with colorfull words I will be doing before I am too drugged up and my pen is pried from my hand. Some humorous tidbits may get written down. I'm looking forward to that too.

I hope to document the pain I will be experiencing also. Thinking about how someone feels pain and having it freshly written down I believe will make it more powerful if I need a character in my book to experience some type of pain.

These details will be tucked away for a future character I may need to develope in a book later. I can use real experiences to create a realistic experience for my reader later.

Having a journal just writing down what may seem like mundane things at the moment can be spun into a wonderful paragraph years down the road.

It is a great tip for a writer. Always document people, places, and experiences for setting and character resources at a later date.

WHY SELF PUBLISH? Social Media allows the TRUTH to be told and your book can too.

Everybody has a story that needs to be told. Think of all of the people involved in the Arab Spring. To be sure, those participating in the country and dare I say world changing event that played out on the internet and news media each day hour by hour; did not have degrees in literature, writing, or journalism. But they each have a story to tell. What is stopping the story from being told? Many factors: terrrible writing skills, low demand for books, over saturated genre, economic stressors, etc., etc., etc., But there are going to be a few sharp individuals who take advantage of some writing skill tips, find an editor, create that fascinating title, and create a grab you by the throat opening paragraph and gain the attention of an agent or publishing house. IT COULD ONE DAY BE YOU.

After rejection letter after rejection letter self doubt creeps in. And a writer may begin to believe "I'm not good enough for the main stream." My advice is "Let's not go there." You are braver than most for putting your thoughts and ideas to paper and you may already have a group of people who think your book is/was written just for them. Take Ann Rice for instance.

In 1973, while she was still grieving the loss of her daughter, Rice took a previously written short story and turned it into her first bestselling novel, Interview with the Vampire. Many believe that Rice created the child vampire, Claudia, in the novel to help her overcome the loss of her daughter. After completing the novel and following many rejections of it, Rice developed Obsessive–compulsive personality disorder (OCPD). Rice was obsessed with germs, thinking that she contaminated everything she touched, engaged in frequent and obsessive hand washing and obsessively checked locks on windows and doors. Of this period, Rice says, "What you see when you're in this state is every single flaw in our hygiene and you can't control it and you go crazy."

In August 1974, after a year of therapy for her OCPD, Rice attended a writer's conference at Squaw Valley, conducted by Ray Nelson, where she met her literary agent, Phyllis Seidel. In October 1974, Seidel sold Interview with the Vampire to Alfred A. Knopf for a $12,000 advance of the hardcover rights. Most new authors were receiving $2000 advances. Interview with the Vampire was published in May, 1976. In 1977, the Rices traveled in Europe and Egypt for the first time.

There are tons of stories that a writer believed needed to be told whether true or fantasy, they dared put it to paper. When Alex Haley hit the scene, he really hit the scene.

Alex Haley's Roots is the monumental two-century drama of Kunta Kinte and the six generations who came after him. By tracing back his own roots, Haley tells the story of 39 million Americans of African descent. He has rediscovered for an entire people a rich cultural heritage that ultimately speaks to all races everywhere, for the story it tells is one of the most eloquent testimonials ever written to the indomitability of the human spirit.

So keep on writing and keep on promoting your work. The audience may not be in the millions at this moment, but conquer the world one reader and testimony at a time. The more you write the better you become. The more writing resources, classes, and networking with professionals you expose yourself to the better your odds become. You self published your book with a specific idea, story, or reader in mind. Let's get your book into their hands.

VIAGRA PARTY!!!!!

I have heard of the term Penis Envy, but never believed I would be a person who could be defined by such a definition. Penis envy in Freudian psychoanalysis refers to the theorized reaction of a girl during her psychosexual development to the realization that she does not have a penis. Freud considered this realization a defining moment in the development of gender and sexual identity for women. According to Freud, the parallel reaction in boys to the realization that girls do not have a penis is castration anxiety. In contemporary culture, the term sometimes refers inexactly or metaphorically to women who are presumed to wish they were men.

I must admit it must be great to be a man these days. I mean, how many pieces of legislation have we voted on lately or in the past ten years regarding male reproductive rights. The penis is safely tucked away from the intrusive long arm (hand) of the law. What a peaceful existence. On the other hand the uterus has been in the spotlight forever.

The news coverage has been about defunding Planned Parenthood, overturning Roe vs Wade, and the usage of contraceptives. We have a Republican running for president, Rick Santorum, being very open about how he feels about the deterioration of the family unit and America as a whole. A major player in America's demise is people choosing not to get married before having children. I agree children should be born into a two parent household, but I do not believe it should become law. Santorum has spoken up and out about contraceptives:

Robert Walker.President, Population Institute Posted: 1/8/12 04:34 PM ET

                                                        Santorum and the 'Anti-contraception' Conservatives

In the past week, Rick Santorum, the newest shooting star in the Republican firmament, has stunned national audiences by suggesting that the U.S. Supreme Court in 1965 erred in overturning a Connecticut law banning contraception. Wow. Did he really mean that? Surely it must have been another slip of the Santorum tongue.

Apparently not. Back in October, when Santorum was still an asterisk in the polls, he told CaffeinatedThoughts.com, "One of the things I will talk about, that no president has talked about before, is I think the dangers of contraception in this country." As he went on to explain in the interview, contraception is "a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be."

The escalating assault on contraception is really a war on women and their reproductive health and rights. That it has gotten as far as it has in the past 18 months is unnerving. Santorum may not be the next president of the United States or even the Republican nominee in 2012, but he is not the end of the "anti-contraception" conservatives.

Has anyone ever thought about getting ahead of the abortion problem such as looking at the fact that teen girls are being impregnated by adult men, men are taking Viagra not for procreation reasons, but for recreation, for reasons of pride, and even at the risk of their own death?

69% of unmarried adolescent girls became pregnant when their partners were 6 or more years older, 3.7 times the pregnancy rate of those whose partners were no more than two years older (Darroch et al., 1999). According to the Vermont Youth Risk Behavior Survey, 3.5% of girls age 13–15 reported voluntary sex with adult men (Leitenberg & Saltzman, 2000). The research confirms stereotypes about the risk for teenage girls: that statutory relationships carry higher risks of pregnancy, single-parenthood, and other psychosocial problems. For example, 69% of unmarried adolescent girls became pregnant when their partners were 6 or more years older, 3.7 times the pregnancy rate of those whose partners were no more than two years older (Darroch et al., 1999). Some of this higher rate may reflect the fact that, in such older partner relationships, the teens are more likely to be living with the man and may be intending to start a family. Nonetheless, a majority of such pregnancies are unplanned (Darroch et al., 1999; Lindberg, Sonenstein, Ku, & Martinez, 1997), and the relationships with older partners may have a shorter overall duration (Lamb et al., 1986).

IF YOU TAKE AWAY CONTRACEPTIVES  TAKE AWAY THE VIAGRA COMMERCIALS

The Woman Who Invented Viagra Posted on March 30, 2011 by IP

Dr. Gill Samuels, director of vascular biology at Pfizer, oversaw the discovery of compounds for reducing hypertension and migraines. More famously, she was part of a team of thousands working at Pfizer that invented Viagra, as she humbly lets everyone know. The discovery, she said, came in 1985 after 13 years of intense team work and laboratory experiments. She said: "We were looking at various disorders in vascular contraction when we came across this new class of compound that could relax blood vessels. I have heard people call it a lifestyle drug but I don't think of it like that. It has caused men to think differently about their health. It has de-stigmatized erectile health and as someone who had to review all the letters of patients, who say 'It has stopped me killing myself' or 'It has stopped me hitting my wife', that I realize what a good medicine it is," she said.

Since becoming available in 1998, sildenafil, the chemical name of the little blue pill known as Viagra, has been the a leading treatment for erectile dysfunction; its primary competitors on the market are tadalafil (Cialis) and vardenafil (Levitra). It used to be that men had the upper hand when it came to confidence in the bedroom. But health experts say ever-younger men are increasingly turning to Viagra in a bid to keep up with modern women inspired by the strong female characters in films such as Sex And The City, starring Sarah Jessica Parker. Relationship therapists are also seeing a rise in the number of men in their 30s asking about the impotence drug, traditionally prescribed to those more than two decades older.

In clinical trials, the most common adverse effects of sildenafil use included headache, flushing, dyspepsia, nasal congestion and impaired vision, including photophobia and blurred vision. Some sildenafil users have complained of seeing everything tinted blue (cyanopsia). Some complained of blurriness and loss of peripheral vision. In July 2005, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration found that sildenafil could lead to vision impairment in rare cases and a number of studies have linked sildenafil use with nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy.

Rare but serious adverse effects found through post marketing surveillance include priapism, severe hypotension, myocardial infarction (heart attack), ventricular arrhythmias, stroke, increased intraocular pressure, and sudden hearing loss. As a result of these post marketing reports, in October 2007, the FDA announced that the labeling for all PDE5 inhibitors, including sildenafil, required a more prominent warning of the potential risk of sudden hearing loss.

Sildenafil's popularity with young adults has increased over the years. Sildenafil's trade name "Viagra" is widely recognized in popular culture, and the drug's association with treating erectile dysfunction has led to its recreational use. The reasons behind such use include the belief that the drug increases libido, improves sexual performance, or permanently increases penis sizE. Studies on the effects of Viagra when used recreationally are limited, but suggest that it has little effect when used by those not suffering from erectile dysfunction. In one study, a 25 mg dose was shown to cause no significant change in erectile quality, but did reduce the post-ejaculatory refractory time. This study also noted a significant placebo effect in the control group. Annual sales of Viagra peaked in 2008 at US$1,934 million. Nearly 6.5 million tablets of Viagra - launched by drugs firm Pfizer in 1998 - were issued in England in 2007, costing the NHS £35million. Research in 2004 found that taking the drug recreationally could affect fertility.

Unprescribed recreational use of sildenafil and other PDE-5 Inhibitors is noted as particularly high among users of illegal drugs.Sildenafil is sometimes used to counteract the effects of other substances, often illicit. Some users mix it with methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA, ecstasy), other stimulants, or opiates in an attempt to compensate for the common side effect of erectile dysfunction, a combination known as "sextasy", "rockin' and rollin'," or "trail mix." Mixing with amyl nitrite is particularly dangerous and potentially fatal.

Abortion has been the lead word to all of the so called 'attacks' on women's rights. It is the life of the unborn child that is what is being defended. It is about murder. Some where in this discussion on the sanctity of life; the part of the man has been omitted. Scripture did not let them off of the hook when it came to the integrity of creating life. In chapter 9 of "When Will Eve Be Forgiven? I look at the value God put on the creation of life:

The primary purpose of a marriage in biblical times was to produce an heir. Each cycle of stories about the major ancestors shows the common theme of obtaining a male heir for the family and for the covenant with God. In Genesis 23:8-10 we read: ”Then Judah said to Onan, “Lie with your brother’s wife and fulfill your duty to her as a brother-in-law to produce offspring for your brother.” But Onan knew the offspring would not be his; so whenever he lay with his brother’s wife, he spilled his semen on the ground to keep from producing offspring for his brother. What he did was wicked in the Lord’s sight; so he put him to death also.”

The question that has to be pondered is was the Lord upset at the refusal to procreate or was the Lord displeased with Onan for not fulfilling his obligation? Both of the above are a failure to follow the directions of the Lord. God counted Onan as wicked. The practice of spilling one’s semen on the ground is one of the oldest known forms of birth control commonly known as the “withdrawal” method, which still remains an unreliable form of birth control practiced in the twenty-first century.

There is another mention of birth control in the Old Testament and it also has the connotation of it being wrong to prohibit the process of conception as found in Deuteronomy 23:1. In this chapter, it is listed as an offense that results in the exclusion from the assembly of the Lord. Here, in the first verse it is written, “No one who has been emasculated by crushing or cutting may enter the assembly of the Lord (NIV).” The King James Version is cruder and more to the point than the NIV, “He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord.” There is no mistaking what this statement is saying. This had to be in reference to a crude form of male sterilization in order to prevent conception. It is a common practice by many males to have a vasectomy when children are no longer wanted.

When nature takes its course with women in menopause; childbearing ends. When impotence takes its toll on men Viagra sells boom. Is the intent for sexual pleasure or procreation?

I think by the biblical passages that men are creating murder by not allowing a child to be formed. It can be even a criminal act. Men should be charged with a crime for having sex with no intent of producing a child which is released in his semen each time there is an ejaculation. All of those dead future lives.
If you are caught with marajauna you can be charged with intent to sell. Caught with a written hit list you can be charged with a crime of plotting to kill. North Carolina Assault Laws say you don't even have to touch anyone to be charged with and found guilty of assault. All a state has to do to charge you with burglary is prove you had the intent to steal something or commit a crime.

Caught with a bottle of Viagra-intent to prevent life. In an attempt to “even things up” while the Virginia senate debated a controversial and upsetting anti-choice bill that would require abortion providers to force women to undergo a vaginal sonogram (an invasive procedure) before going through with the procedure, State Senator Janet Howell proposed an amendment — before obtaining a prescription for erectile dysfunction drugs, men would be subject to rectal exams and stress tests. And that makes Senator Janet Howell today’s official State Senatorial Hero.

I think Representative Jackie Speier said it best when she explained that not every woman is sitting around hoping to get pregnant just so they can have an abortion and if we are not careful the lives of children and mothers will be put in danger.

"I really planned to speak about something else but the gentleman from New Jersey just put my stomach in knots because I'm one of those women he spoke about just now," Speier said. "I had a procedure at 17 weeks pregnant with a child who moved from the vagina into the cervix. And that procedure that you just described is a procedure that I endured."

"I lost the baby," she continued. "And for you to stand on this floor and suggest that somehow this is a procedure that is either welcomed or done cavalierly or done without any thought, is preposterous."

"By targeting Planned Parenthood, the Pence Amendment will risk the lives and safety of millions of American women," said New York Democrat Louise Slaughter. "These proposed cuts to family planning represent the opening salvo in an all-out war on women's health - and I have been a soldier on the other side of that war for several decades."

She added that "It has been an absolute awful time for most of us who are such strong believers in the rights of women and women's health, and that women should have the ability to make decisions themselves."
